"Celebrating Estonian jazz"
Lee Lorè is a jazz vocalist from Tallinn, currently studying at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam. Her music bridges traditional jazz and contemporary interpretation, marked by sensitivity, an intimate atmosphere, and a distinctly Nordic sound palette — inviting listeners to step away from the everyday and savour the beauty of the moment. Lee performs in various ensembles and has appeared as a soloist with the Estonian Dream Big Band and the Codarts University Big Band. She has received recognition at competitions including Andantino, Kuldleheke, and Tallinna Talent, and in 2025 won the Grand Prix at Solistika as well as the Leading Female Artist Award at the Prinses Christina Concours in the Netherlands. During this summer Lee Lorè will also appear at the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam and Jazz in de Gracht in The Hague.
On the second concert evening of Lee Lorè’s residency, audiences will be treated to timeless classics from Estonian popular music. While studying abroad, a growing sense of homesickness for both language and culture inspired the singer to discover new and deeply personal interpretations of the melodies that have been cherished since childhood. The programme builds a bridge between past and present, offering listeners a sense of nostalgic familiarity while bringing a fresh perspective to some of the most beloved songs in Estonian music.
Line-up:
Lee Lorè - vocals
Madis Sikk - piano
Alice Felix San Payo - double bass
Marten Männa - drums
