Erkki–Sven Tüür „Mare Lacrimarum“ & „Päikesevene”, Meelis Vind „Solar Wind“ • Christmas Jazz 2023

One of the living legends of Estonian music, Erkki-Sven Tüür will bring his Mare Lacrimarum to the Estonian audience for the first time. Written for an unusual composition of instruments, Mare Lacrimarum reflects the heartache caused by the ongoing war. Also premiered will be Solar Wind by Meelis Vind, who has drawn inspiration from Tüür’s musical heritage, as well as Vind’s new arrangement for Tüür’s Päikesevene (The Sun Boat).
