Salakõrts aka Secret Saloon w. Now in Service • Estonian Music Week 2025

We are reviving the salakõrts night that took place in 1984 in Toronto when Estonians gathered in Palais Royal to dance, raise their glasses, and sing along to their favourite tunes. The party that people still fondly remember and share memories of.

As per tradition, the salakõrts location will be revealed closer to the event date. Hint: we will be close to Dufferin and Douvercourt.

Now in Service (CAN) aka Tarkus

A unique energy and sound. Now in Service (also known as Tarkus performing for the Estonian community throughout the 1980’s) is a Toronto based band featuring Paul Kako (keyboards/vocals) Indrek Kanne (Bass) and John Canjar (drums). The unique energy and sound of this trio provides the audience with an opportunity to revisit popular dance cover tunes from the 60’s, 70’s. 80’s 90’s and 2000’s along with some of their original music sprinkled in as well. Their musical hooks remain with those who watch them perform well after the show is over. Paul, Indrek and John look forward to once again being Now In Service at Estonian Music Week on Thursday, May 22nd.

Salakõrts is a loved tradition of ESTO Global Estonian Festival. ESTO 2025 is taking place in Stockholm, Narva and Tallinn June 26 to July 2, 2025.
