R&B night: HI-FIVE QUINTET

Helsinki-based Hi-Five Quintet (HFQ) is a thrilling Soul band known for compelling their audiences on to the dance floor with their contagious energy and irresistible groove. HFQ, led by guitarist Olli Virkkunen, have been honing their blend of Rhythm & Blues, Soul and Blues for 10 years. They have released 2 albums, the most recent one ‘The Land of Make Believe’ (2023) consisting entirely of original songs, written by the lead singer Saara Koivisto. The original material has been praised for its originality as well as for tastefully honoring the music of Soul and Blues icons such as Aretha Franklin and Etta James. HFQ’s proudest moment so far has been to represent Finland in 2023 European Blues Challenge in Poland. 

Hi-Five Quintet will take you on a carousel ride of the best American R&B, Soul and Blues classics spiced with original songs that will make you jiggle and shake. Be sure to put on your best dancing shoes!
