Original, melodic, and sensitive, the Joel Remmel Trio has been influencing and inspiring jazz lovers for 15 years. Joel Remmel, Heikko Remmel, and Ramuel Tafenau are all leading figures in Estonian jazz, whose music brings together a Scandinavian aesthetic and improvisation with style and virtuosity. At this year’s Jazzkaar anniversary concert, the trio will be joined by one of the most outstanding violinists of his generation, Hans Christian Aavik, along with the trio’s original drummer, Aleksandra Kremenetski.
