Night with Rubundi
Saturday, September 13, 8 p.m. at Philly Joe's Jazz Club
Singer, songwriter and guitarist Liisa Tetsmann has created a world for her music, called Rubundi. Her work, which is mainly influenced by nighttime inspiration, contains a bit of mischief, a pinch of melancholy, a delightful amount of haziness, as well as the agility of Gavroche.
Rubundi's music lures the listener into the recesses of the mind, where you have to quickly step off the main street, lie down on the damp grass and let your senses wander undisturbed through the enchanting maze of being human.
The band has released four albums to date, which feature a dusty jazz, blues and folk feel: “Mõttemets” (2019), “Müha” (2021), “Fantasöör” (2023) and the latest, “Luulutaja” (2025), which brought the band's most diverse and in-depth work to date. The band has been recognized at festivals such as Jazzkaar, Augustibluus, Viru Folk, Tallinn Old Town Days, Särin and many others.
