The first concert in the ‘Chamber Music’ series will take place in October with pianist Alexander Melnikov. Melnikov, who is known for his frequent unusual decisions regarding musical choices and playlists, is characterised by his fascination with historically informed performance practices. He is also an active chamber musician, whose long-term stage partner is violinist Isabelle Faust, who is also going to solo with ERSO this season. He also plays regularly with cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras and violinist Antoine Tamestit. Together with ERSO musicians, Melnikov will perform the Piano Quintet in F minor by Johannes Brahms.
