Funk Embassy Night / Tallinn Music Week

“Booties shaken, souls stirred” is a proven formula for Funk Embassy since 2016. Line-up at the record labels’ TMW night follows this recipe to the teeth. On the soulful side is the local crown jewel - Rita Ray; and an absolute rising star from UK - Mica Millar. On the booty-shaking block we got the pop-funk-disco band Silky Steps and their counterpart from Ukraine Komisiia; modern boogie juice, freshly squeezed by Maya Killtron out of Toronto; and a turbulent mix of samba soul and cosmic jazz by the Brazilian artist based in France - Joao Selva.

Before and in between bands, DJ Bunuel will make sure everything's smooth with a selection of music nonpareil!

Bunuel is one of the strongest DJ figures of his generation. He has acted as a pioneer in his concerts and radio broadcasts, sharing the versatile joyous message of urban rhythm music since the 1970s, thus playing a significant role in growing the music taste of the next generations.

Bunu is no stranger to TMW and the Funk Embassy Night. In fact, he was there when we first did it back in 2016.
