On his new album, Faces of Night, released by the renowned German record label ACT Music, Austrian pianist and composer David Helbock collaborates with bassist and cellist Julia Hofer. Their strong musical chemistry has resulted in twelve tracks of passionate, powerful jazz. At Jazzkaar, these outstanding instrumentalists will be joined on stage by guest artist Mahan Mirarab, an Iranian guitarist who also features on the album.

In his work, David Helbock brings together improvisation, classical and electronic music, blending sound languages from different cultures while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and collaboration. He has released more than 25 albums under his own name and has also composed extensively for chamber ensembles, string instruments, choirs, and big bands.
