Sebastian Tarazona Quintet (VEN-LVA-UKR-EST)
SEBASTIAN TARAZONA QUINTET
The Sebastian Tarazona Quintet is a dynamic ensemble born from the shared musical vision of five musicians who met during their university studies. The quintet, led by saxophonist Sebastian Tarazona, brings together the innovative piano stylings of Ivan Zavorotnii, the rhythmic precision of Uku Kübar on drums, the vibrant beats of Kevin Alva on percussion, and the rich bass lines of Ilmars Priede.
Drawing inspiration from the electric jazz of the 1970s, and the rich traditions of Afro-Venezuelan folk music, the Sebastian Tarazona Quintet creates a compelling blend of Latin Jazz and Electric-Fusion Jazz. Their sound is a celebration of rhythmic complexity and melodic exploration, offering audiences a fresh yet deeply rooted jazz experience.
The quintet recently released their debut album, "Live at the Blackbox", which captures the energy and spontaneity of their live performances.
