(Vabaduse väljak 1, Tallinn)
The concert of the Tallinn Brass Academy, which has already become a tradition at the International Trumpet Days, will this time feature new arrangements of Veljo Tormis´s works "Ingrian Evenings" and "Curse upon Iron", as well as arrangements of Modest Mussorgsky´s "Pictures at an Exhibition" and Jean Sibelius´s "Finlandia".
The solo parts of the work "Ingrian Evenings" will be performed by young Estonian trumpet talents Triin Ustav, Eerik Bahovski, and Jan-Marius Laur.
This concert will also feature the mixed choir K.O.O.R, conducted by Raul Talmar. The choir, soprano Maria Petrov and trumpet soloist Neeme Ots will perform Valery Petrov´s "Memory" for the world premiere. Petrov has said about the work: "The work "Memory" is my dedication to two musicians who I loved very much: the outstanding trumpet player and talented teacher Aavo Ots, who was also my teacher, and my good friend and classmate, composer Urmas Sisask. Both passed away, but their life´s work will endure, creating new paths, new memories..."
