European Sauna Marathon 2026
The 15th European Sauna Marathon in Otepää will take place on February 6–7, the region’s largest sauna festival. On Friday, the saunas on Otepää Central Square will be heated, accompanied by sauna rituals and a proper party. On Saturday, a big orienteering game between saunas will take place, where teams must visit as many marked sauna locations on the map as possible within the given time. Teams consist of four people, and a car with a driver is required.
The main prize of the European Sauna Marathon in Otepää is provided by Lemmik Mees OÜ and Skamet OÜ. In addition, numerous special prizes will be awarded. As in previous years, participants will again vote for their favorite sauna, and plenty of special prizes will be given out for the best costumes and most enthusiastic sauna enjoyers.
Registration for the marathon takes place on February 7 at the Otepää Gymnasium Sports Hall from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The marathon will start at 11:00 a.m. from Otepää Central Square. The finish line is on Mäe Street and will be open until 6:30 p.m. At the sports hall, participants can shower, change clothes, enjoy delicious snacks, and share their impressions of the marathon.
The 15th European Sauna Marathon in Otepää is organized by: Otepää Sport, Otepää Municipality, Otepää Cultural Centers, sauna owners with their teams, and volunteers.
