Young Talents in Jazz: Artur Rutkevich Quintet (DEU)

The Artur Rutkevich Quintet is a young, highly talented jazz formation led by alto saxophonist Artur Rutkevich, who grew up in Kaliningrad. The band's sound is refreshing, sonorous and lively with the young musicians from Berlin skillfully combining the jazz tradition with contemporary improvised music.
Artur Rutkevich has been studying jazz saxophone at the Jazz Institute Berlin since 2020. He is based in the city of Berlin, Germany and has established himself in the jazz scene playing in the main jazz clubs B-Flat and Schlot. At the age of 24 he already has a lot of musical experience having played at various festivals and competitions, such as See More Jazz Festival (2021,2022, 2024), 24th Big Band Festival Nowy Tomysl (2019), Kaliningrad City Jazz (2018), and VIII International Competition of Jazz Musicians named after V.Avdeyev (2017), where he received the Grand Prix.
