Pies en la Tierra will embark on an extensive tour through Europe in 2025 to celebrate their 20th year anniversary & perform music from their extensive repertoire that spans through all their active years. Pies en la Tierra combines jazz and south American folk music to create a unique style that has become a landmark of national arts in their native country Ecuador.
Pies en la Tierra has participated in international festivals around the world. Some include the International Jazz Fest in San Sebastian, Getxo Jazz and Ezcaray Jazz Fest and MIRA Jazz in Buenos Aires. Their 7 albums "Pies en la Tierra" (2004), "Part De" (2005), "Shungo" (2009) Anomalía (2011), "Sinergia" (2015), "South Ahead" (2021) & "Aeris" (2024) have marked a new stage in the Ecuadorian contemporary music, thus becoming an icon of reference within the scene of national and international music.
One of the main features of the quartet is the active collaboration with highly recognized international musicians such as Jorge Pardo, Randy Brecker, Perico Sambeat, Ricardo Cavalli, Tony Speranza, and Walt Szymansky among others.
The band last performed in Estonia in 2019, and special local guests are also expected to take the stage!
