Klarnetitrio a-moll, op. 114
PERFORMERS
HAVRYIL SYDORYK klaver, SOO-YOUNG LEE klarnet, ANDRES METSPALU tšello
Young pianist Havryil Sydoryk, a MUBA student but already a recognized interpreter, takes the stage at this ERSO chamber concert. The program features two trios that are closely linked both historically and musically: Alexander von Zemlinsky’s youthful Clarinet Trio in D minor and Johannes Brahms’ Clarinet Trio in A minor from his mature period. Zemlinsky’s composition won a prize at the Vienna Music Society competition, where Brahms sat on the jury and held the young author’s work in high regard. These two opuses are among the most esteemed works for clarinet chamber ensembles. Performing alongside Havryil are ERSO’s principal clarinetist Soo-Young Lee and cellist Andres Metspalu.
