It is an extraordinary event as the renowned pianist Kalle Randalu celebrates his 70th birthday with a concert alongside ERSO musicians. The festive program is dedicated to two heavyweight masterpieces of Romantic chamber music. The evening features Robert Schumann’s poetic Piano Quartet, which Clara Schumann praised as “youthful and fresh”, contrasted by Johannes Brahms’ deeply dramatic Piano Quartet. Schumann’s spring-like youthfulness and Brahms’ autumn-like wisdom give this jubilee concert its dignified weight. Joining Kalle Randalu in the quartet are Triin Ruubel (violin), Sandra Klimaite (viola), and Theodor Sink (cello).
The concert is without intermission and lasts one hour.
