Sat Sep 12, 2026 at 06:00 PM
 (Pärnu maantee 59, Tallinn)

PROGRAM

Joseph Haydn

Piano Trio in C major, Hob. XV:25

César Franck
Piano Quintet in F minor

PERFORMERS

YEKWON SUNWOO piano, ERSO chamber musicians

In the cozy hall of MUBA, pianist Yekwon Sunwoo performs alongside musicians from ERSO. The program includes Joseph Haydn’s Trio in C major, characterized by its virtuoso and dominant piano part. However, the centerpiece of the evening is César Franck’s monumental Piano Quintet, one of the composer’s most significant works. Due to its dramatic development and intense emotionality, it has often been called a “chamber symphony”. The career of South Korean pianist Yekwon Sunwoo gained massive momentum after his victory at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2017. He is considered a peerless interpreter of Romantic music.

The concert is without intermission and lasts one hour.
