FinEst Funk Festival brings world-class funk to Tallinn!
11-time Grammy winner Philip Lassiter with his band from Holland and funk sensation Funky Times from Germany, will steer us to the dance floor at Tallinn Creative City.
Performing from Estonia: Siim Aimla Funk Band, Eleryn Tiit, Sofia Rubina and DJs from Funk Embassy.
Philip Lassiter is an 11-time award-winning arranger and former section leader of Prince and the New Power Generation, with roots in Texas funk, Alabama gospel, New Orleans jazz and Nashville soul.
Funky Times, led by guitar virtuoso Julia Lange, is a German internet sensation who has already collaborated with Hendrik Linder from Dirty Loops and performed at the Candy's Choice event in Holland featuring Candy Dulfer's favorite funk artists from around the world.
Siim Aimla Funk Band is a domestic funk group whose performance features parallels with the work of John Scofield, Jaco Pastorious and Bob Mintzer, as well as drawing inspiration from art, literature and life in general. Eleryn Tiit and Sofia Rubina will step on stage together with Siim Aimla Funk Band.
Booties will be shaken and souls stirred by Estonian Funk Embassy, the domestic funk music advocate.
The venue KÄRBES Kitchen & Bar is a unique place to enjoy culture and food, located in the Tallinn Telliskivi Creative City.
