The beloved singer Liisi Koikson and one of the most prominent pianists of the younger generation in Estonia, Joel Remmel have been delighting the local audiences with their heart-felt music for many years. Sharing the stage both as a duo and with their good friends, as well as in the collectives Mingo Rajandi Quintet, Elletuse and Vaikne Esmaspäev, they have developed a deep mutual understanding in music. Over the years, they have given numerous concerts in different places all over Estonia. To the great joy of all music lovers, the duo will now present their first album, „?“.
Liisi and Joel’s goal has been to perform together only the songs that are close to both of their hearts. Their repertoire includes well-known pieces by Genialists, Dagö, Apelsin, Hendrik Sal-Saller and other local artists. The musicians believe that their album presentation concert at this year’s Jazzkaar will offer a priceless and incomparable experience, because the synergy created with the audience during the concert is always unique and often remembered for a long time. We especially need such uplifting and soul-nourishing moments at this time, when there is a lot of worry, fear and negativity around and among us. Let us break through this together!
