Dutch conductor Bas Wiegers, who has performed in Tallinn on numerous occasions, conducts ERSO in a Romantic program. The soloist for Frédéric Chopin’s popular Piano Concerto No. 1 is Havryil Sydoryk, the winner of last year's “Classical Stars” competition. Though still a teenager, the virtuoso is already an experienced performer. The second half features Claude Debussy’s exquisitely impressionistic symphonic poem La Mer, where the composer depicts the play of waves and the dialogue between the wind and the sea.
The concert is without intermission and lasts one hour.
